Google Docs Word Count – Previously, if we wanted to perform our needed essay or theory type on the desktop, we had to use Microsoft Word software, but Google has given us additional features, one of which is Google Documents Editor
In Google Docs, you can check the word count of a document by using a keyboard shortcut or by selecting the option from the header menu. The Google Docs mobile app may also be used to determine a document’s word count.

There are two ways to check the word count of your manuscript on a PC. You may also obtain the whole word count of the document or just a specific area.
Step 1) To acquire the total word count of the document, go to the header menu and pick “Word Count” from the drop-down menu. You may also use the Ctrl+Shift+C keyboard shortcut on a Windows PC or Command+Shift+C on a Computer.
Step 2) A new window will appear. The complete word count of the document may be seen here. By selecting the box next to the “Display word count while typing” option and then clicking “OK,” you can also choose to display the word count on-screen while you type.

Step 1) Start the app, then press the More icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. (On iOS, this icon is three dots in a horizontal line; on Android, it is three dots in a vertical line.)
Step 2) Tap “Word Count” in the pane that opens to the right of the screen.
Step 3) Your word count would then be shown.
That’s the end of it. However, if you want to keep the word count shown on-screen while you type, you’ll have to use the desktop version of Google Docs because that option isn’t presently accessible on the iOS or Android mobile apps.
