How to send secret emails on gmail

Send Confidential mail

Confidential emails are a great gmail feature. What is sad is that most people are not aware of this.

When sending mail to someone using the Confidential emails feature, the mail cannot be opened by anyone other than the recipient of the mail. Also, if the phone number is registered with this email, no one can open the mail without otp.

Step 1:

First of all, open the gamil app on your android phone. then click the "compose" email button

Step 2:

Now click the "three dots" on right top corner

Step 3:

From the list of options, tap on the Confidential mode.

Step 4:

On the Confidential Mode page, set the message expiry time. Next, select ‘SMS Passcode’ under the Require passcode section. Once done, tap on the Save button.

Step 5:

Now click on the send button and a pop up will appear. Click on the "Add missing information" option.

Step 6:

On the next screen, you need to enter the phone number and click on the Done button. (You can use your reciptent phone number here)
